The next couple of weeks are going to be exciting at Coastal with 2 BIG DAYS!  First of all, this Sunday, September 11th is LIFE Group Sunday!! What is LIFE Group Sunday you ask?  For those of you who are new to Coastal, let me explain.  Our Sunday morning worship service is pretty much the same, but just a little shorter.  We do that because we want to make plenty of time before and after each service for you to visit a table/booth representing each one of our 57 different LIFE Groups (kind of like a Job/College Fair, but for Groups)!  You’ll be able to meet other people checking out all the Groups, meet the different Group Leaders, enjoy some yummy snacks, and ask any questions you might have.  There will even be FREE Kona Ice outside for everyone!  I promise it will be a great day and a lot of fun!  But most importantly, SIGN UP FOR A LIFE GROUP!  In fact, many of our LIFE Groups are filling up fast.  Go online and sign up today!

And then the following Sunday, February 18th, we kick off our series called, “Financial Freedom!”  Hopefully by now, you’ve heard about all the exciting, practical things we’re doing during this series.  We’ll be giving away all of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace resources for FREE!  We’re going to give them away to you AND anyone you bring to Coastal!  We’ll have a Financial Peace LIFE Group this semester (Monday nights, 6:30pm beginning February 19th)!  Go online and sign up today!  On Sunday, February 25th, we’re giving away $1000 in each service to help someone pay down their debt.  On Sunday afternoon, March 3rd, we’re hosting a FREE Will & Legacy Planning Seminar with an Attorney to answer any of your questions.  During the seminar we’re giving away a Will Package from the Attorney for FREE (a $1500 value)!  During all 3 services on Sunday, March 10th, we’ll be giving away thousands of dollars in something called a “reverse offering.”  People will literally be taking envelopes of money out of the blue offering buckets and then encouraged to use the money as “seeds” to creatively bless someone in our community (we’ll explain it during the series).  It’s going to be awesome!

And speaking of practical, here are some very practical things I’m asking you to do.  1. Pray.  Pray that God would use our church and our people to draw people to Himself as we lift up the name of Jesus!  Pray for me and my messages.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would move in a mighty powerful way!  2. Pull out the stops, and invite and bring a friend to church with you, especially over the next two weeks!  Step out in faith, be bold, and make the ask!  3. If at all possible, consider going to the 8:30am service or the 11:30am service to make more room in the 10am service.  4. Park over at Oakland Elementary School.  This simple gesture will make the transition time between services go so much smoother.  See you and your friends on Sunday!  By the way, I absolutely LOVE IT when you introduce your friends to me!  I love you Coastal!  I love being your Pastor!  And I love what we get to do together!

LIFE & LOVE!
Pastor Chris
