I know sometimes I must sound like a broken record, but it was another amazing Sunday at Coastal this past week! It was LIFE Group Sunday! We had 1124 people in-person, 810 online, and 2 more Baptisms! I want to thank those of you who have been parking at Oakland and those of you who shifted from the 10am service to either the 8:30am or the 11:30am service – please keep it up! I can’t thank all of our LIFE Group Leaders enough for all of their hard work and creativity! They “knocked it out of the park” again! The excitement, fun, and enthusiasm in the room was palpable! Plus, are you ready for this, so far we’ve had over 1134 total signups for LIFE Groups! That’s AWESOME!
While some of our LIFE Groups are already full, many are not. So go to our website, check out the catalog, and sign up for a LIFE Group today! Once you sign up for a LIFE Group, your Group Leader will contact you with all the important information. Most LIFE Groups begin THIS coming week. The big push between now and Easter Weekend will be Volunteers! So, reach out to your LIFE Team Leader and start signing up to serve on Planning Center now. Easter comes early this year – Sunday, March 31st! Coastal will be having 6 Easter Services over 3 days: Friday, March 29th, 7pm; Saturday, March 30th, 4:30pm, 6pm; Sunday, March 31st, 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am. Remember it’s all hands on deck! Sign up now to serve in multiple services! Our goal is to have over 2500 people in person over Easter Weekend! Start praying now for the people you will be inviting and for the people the church will be reaching out to through all of our advertising.
And finally, if you haven’t heard, this Sunday, February 18th, we kick off our “Financial Freedom!” series. During this series we’ll be giving away all of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace resources for FREE (to you AND anyone you bring to Coastal)! We have a Financial Peace LIFE Group this semester (Monday nights, 6:30pm beginning February 19th)! Go online and sign up today! On Sunday, February 25th, we’re giving away $1000 in each service to help someone pay down their debt. On Sunday afternoon, March 3rd, we’re hosting a FREE Will & Legacy Planning Seminar with an Attorney to answer any of your questions. During the seminar we’re giving away a Will Package from the Attorney for FREE (a $1500 value)! Go online and sign up today! During all 3 services on Sunday, March 10th, we’ll be giving away thousands of dollars in something called a “reverse offering.” People will literally be taking envelopes of money out of the blue offering buckets and then encouraged to use the money as “seeds” to creatively bless someone in our community. Coffee & Doughnuts with the Vets at Patriot Villas – TODAY, Friday, February 16th, 8:30am-11:30am. Meet at Coastal.
Hope Center Tailgate: The Hope Center, managed by the city of Charleston, serves as a one-stop shop in downtown Charleston to assist those who are homeless or who are at-risk of being homeless. We’re sending a Tailgate Team to serve dinner to anyone who is hungry. We meet at Coastal on Tuesday, February 20th, 12pm-3pm.
VA Hospitality Project: This team serves at the VA Hospital in Charleston by providing a hospitality cart, greeting incoming patients and employees, visiting patients, and helping Volunteer Services with small sorting projects. Wednesday, February 21st, 8:30am-12pm. Meet at Coastal.
Food Pantry Sort & Stock: Coastal feeds an enormous amount of people. Come to the church and help keep our Food Pantry organized (and have a lot of fun while you’re at it)! Thursday, February 22nd, 11:30am-1pm.
Lowcountry Orphan Relief: Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides support services and aid to meet the needs of Lowcountry children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Coastal will be serving there, Friday, February 23rd, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 1850 Truxton Ave in North Charleston.
Downtown Charleston “Hotdog Ministry”: We will be grilling and serving hotdogs to the homeless and hungry downtown! Friday, February 23rd, 4-6:30pm. Meet at Coastal.

Clothing Team: Our Coastal Clothing Team will be organizing and sorting clothes, Friday, March 1st, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 2952 Old Pond Road on Johns Island.

- As a part of our Financial Freedom series, we are offering a FREE Will & Legacy Planning Seminar! The Seminar will be in our Chapel on Sunday, March 3rd, at 4pm. Childcare provided. RSVP on your Connect Card or go online and sign up today! During the seminar we will be drawing names and giving away a Will Package with an Attorney.
- If you’re fairly new to Coastal, a great next step is our Newcomers Reception. Our next Newcomers Reception is NEXT Sunday, February 25th, in our Chapel immediately following the 11:30am service (at approximately 12:45pm). This is a great way to learn more about Coastal, meet staff and key volunteers, as well as meet some other new people. Pizza and childcare provided. You can sign up on our website or on your Connect Card and indicate if you need childcare!
- Interested in officially making the Coastal church family, your church family? Our next Membership Class is TOMORROW, Saturday, February 17th, from 9am-12pm, in the Chapel. You can respond to this email or sign up on our website. Breakfast & childcare provided!
