It was an amazing Sunday this past week at Coastal as we Baptized another10 people! Do you realize that we’ve already Baptized over 150 people this year! And what’s really cool is that after witnessing all those people getting Baptized last Sunday, another 10 people expressed interest in getting Baptized! As we say at Coastal, we’re ready for you to get Baptized any Sunday, any service. Simply sign up online or on your Connect Card and we’ll follow up with you. And guess what? Next Saturday, November 9th, at 3pm at Folly Beach County Park we’re having our own little “Polar Plunge/Beach Baptism!” We’d love for you to join us!
It’s hard to believe, but this week marks THREE YEARS since we’ve been in our new facility (we completely gutted our old building, added on to it, and connected our two facilities with a beautiful new Welcome Center)! Three years – let that sink in for just a moment. Our new facility has literally affected almost everything we do in such a positive way, and it all gets used almost every day of the week. Three years ago, during the month of October, our average Coastal Kidz attendance was just over 100. Last Sunday, Coastal Kidz attendance was 258! Our overall attendance average 3 years ago during October was just under 500 people. Last Sunday our overall attendance was 1078! All of that in just 3 years!
But guess what Coastal? We’re just getting started! God’s not finished with us. There is more to be done. There are more people to reach with the Gospel. There are more children to share Jesus with. There are more hurting people to heal, more hungry people to feed, more people to clothe, more lives to change. So join us in this mission to share and experience the LIFE and LOVE of Jesus with Charleston and the world! Step out in faith and attempt something great for God! Keep reaching out and inviting your friends and neighbors to join us at Coastal! Keep giving your money generously and sacrificially to support the vision and mission here! - UPCOMING OUTREACH PROJECTS:
Lowcountry Orphan Relief: Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides support services and aid to meet the needs of Lowcountry children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Coastal will be serving there, TODAY, Friday, November 1st; Friday, November 8th, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 1850 Truxton Ave in North Charleston.
Coffee & Doughnuts with the Vets at Patriot Villas: TODAY, Friday, November 1st, 8:30am-11:30am. Meet at Coastal.
Clothing Team: Our Coastal Clothing Team will be organizing and sorting clothes, TODAY, Friday, November 1st; Monday, November 4th, Friday, November 8th, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 2952 Old Pond Road on Johns Island.
Saturday Serve: The foundation of all of our serving opportunities at Coastal really starts with Saturday Serve – the first Saturday of every month. The next Saturday Serve is TOMORROW, Saturday, November 2nd. We meet in the Auditorium at 8:30am, Project Leaders make a “pitch” for their serving opportunity, and then we go out and serve!
Food Pantry Sort & Stock: Coastal feeds an enormous amount of people. Come to the church and help keep our Food Pantry organized (and have a lot of fun while you’re at it)! Thursday, November 7th, 11:30am-1pm.
Double Tailgate Day: Meeting Street & Joseph Floyd Manor: Saturday, November 9th, 10:30am-1:30pm. Meet at the church and then pick which Tailgate you’d like to serve.
2nd Saturday/2nd Meal: Saturday, November 9th, 9am-12noon. Come serve with us as we prepare a hot meal in the Coastal kitchen and then deliver those meals to one of our awesome ministry partners – organizations like Charleston Vets, S.C. Strong, Brighton Place, Joseph Floyd Manor and more!

However, next Saturday, November 9th, at 3pm, we are having our own “Polar Plunge/Beach Baptism” at Folly Beach County Park! - YOUNG ADULTS social at the Charleston Battery game TOMORROW, Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7pm. The cost is $20 which includes a ticket to the Ultra Lounge private deck, soft drinks, & snacks. - Grieving? Know someone who is? Join GriefShare’s free, one time event on Monday, November 4th at 2pm or 6pm that will help participants prepare for difficult emotions this holiday season and discover hope for the future. - One of the projects for our upcoming Saturday Serve THIS Saturday, November 2nd, is a Cleaning & Beautification Day over at Oakland Elementary School. Some of the things we will be doing is: trimming trees/vines along the driveway and sidewalk at entrance/exit, pressure washing the sign/marquee at the entrance, weeding the garden beds along the front of the school, trimming/removing limbs, and edging and blowing the parking lot and driveway. If you have any of the tools and equipment for these projects and would like to serve on this project, then come to Saturday Serve, and join us in serving our neighbors!
P.S. 2025 PERU MISSION TRIP INFO MEETING! There will be informational meetings with Q&A between the 1st and 2nd services and between the 2nd & 3rd services in the Coastal Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 17th.
