This Sunday is the last day to give toward our annual Christmas Offering and we are still just short of our goal of $125,000. Each year this offering is used to do some incredible things, and this year is no different. One of those things was to provide Christmas – gifts and a meal – to all of the children and staff at New Life Children’s Home in Peru. In fact, with this money we were also able to provide a small bonus to the Staff and a day trip for all the children to the beach! Above and below are just two pictures of what your generous giving provided! The exciting part is that’s where we’re going this Summer on our Mission’s Trip!
One more exciting update on our Christmas Offering – we purchased our new 15 Passenger Van!! It still needs to be wrapped, but we’ve already used it to take volunteers to the North Charleston Tailgate this past Saturday for Saturday Serve. In fact, I’ll be driving it tomorrow for Double Tailgate Day, taking volunteers to Charleston Vets! And I CAN’T WAIT to share with the Veterans there the good news – we’ll be ready to pick them up for church THIS SUNDAY!! We’ve still got a major project to accomplish with the Christmas Offering – replacing our PA System in the auditorium. We hope to have that done by Easter as we prepare to see over 2000 people in-person on our campus! So, we’re not done, but I wanted you to see what your generous giving has already accomplished. If you haven’t given yet, give this weekend. If you have already given, but want to see us reach and surpass our goal, give this weekend. Use the keyword, “Christmas.” It is your generous, consistent giving that enables our church to do all that it does right here in our Community and around the world! I love you Coastal! Clothing Team: Our Coastal Clothing Team will be organizing and sorting clothes TODAY, Friday, January 13th, 9am-11am. Meet at 2952 Old Pond Road on Johns Island.
Lowcountry Orphan Relief : Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides support services and aid to meet the needs of Lowcountry children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Coastal will be serving there, TODAY, Friday, January 13th, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 1850 Truxton Ave in North Charleston.
Double Tailgate Day: Charleston Vets & Joseph Floyd Manor: Saturday, January 14th, 10am-1pm. Meet at the church and then pick which Tailgate you’d like to serve.
Patriot Villas Veterans Tailgate & Game Night – We will be putting on a Tailgate for the Veterans at Patriot Villas on Thursday, January 19th, 6-8pm. Meet at Coastal.
Coffee & Doughnuts with the Vets at Patriot Villas – Friday, January 20th, 8:30am-11am. Meet at Coastal.

We are encouraging our entire Coastal family to give above and beyond their regular tithes and offering to reach this goal. To give, all you have to do is designate your gift “Christmas” on your check, offering envelope, online, or TEXTing (843-571-1777). You can give your gift at any of our regular Sunday morning services, or anytime through TEXTing (text “give” to 843-571-1777), or our website. With this year’s offering we are purchasing a 15 passenger van, sound equipment, golf carts, and buying Christmas gifts for all of the children of the New Life Children’s Home in Peru.
- Attention Coastal – our 2023 SPRING LIFE GROUP CATALOG will be available in just a couple of weeks! You’ll be able to check out all the different Groups offered this semester and start signing up! Also, for those of you who are leading Groups this semester, don’t forget that LIFE Group Leader Training will be offered in person on Monday, January 23rd, 6:30-8pm or Saturday, January 28th, 9-10:30am. Returning Leader Training will be online on Thursday, January 26th, 8-8:30pm. ALL Leaders need to attend one session. RSVP on your Connect Card.
