Well, it’s hard to believe but Easter Sunday is 21 days away (19 days until the first of our 7 Easter Services over 3 days)! That means it’s time – time to start making those phone calls, sending those texts, extending those invitations! Go to EasterAtCoastal.com and download our shareable graphics to use on Social Media. And while you’re there, please don’t forget to let us know which service you plan on attending by reserving your spot! It simply lets us know when a service is reaching capacity. We really want to encourage our people (YOU) to attend services on Friday, Saturday, or 8am or 12:30pm on Sunday to make more room on Sunday at 9:30am & 11am. More than likely, those services will be PACKED!
But most importantly, as we always say, come to the service that you can get your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to come to. If that’s 11am on Easter Sunday, bring them, but come early to get a seat. And if you’re serving, come to the service that best suits your serving schedule. Here are the Easter service times: Friday, April 3rd, 7pm; Saturday, April 4th, 4:30pm, 6pm; Sunday, April 5th, 8am, 9:30am, 11am, 12:30pm.
Whichever service you attend, make sure you come early and PARK FAR FAR AWAY – haha! You know my joke by now right? The more you love Jesus, the further away you’ll park! That means park at Oakland Elementary School’s parking lot – the first right past the Greenway, before you reach our campus. And don’t worry, we run our Golf Carts over there to pick you up every Sunday. I’m seriously considering parking at the empty Hardees on Easter Sunday!
Please talk to your Ministry Leaders now and VOLUNTEER FOR MULTIPLE SERVICES! 7 services means that it’s “All Hands On Deck.” We need everyone! If you’re not serving on Sunday morning yet, Easter is a great time to start. Sign up to volunteer on your Connect Card this Sunday, and we’ll get you plugged in. It will be one of the most worthwhile things you do, being used by God to be a link in the chain of people taking next steps and coming to know Jesus! If you’re not sure where to volunteer, 1st Impressions or Coastal Kidz is a great place to start!
I love you Coastal! I love being your Pastor! And I love sharing and experiencing the LIFE and LOVE of Jesus with YOU, with Charleston, and the world! Can’t wait to see you Sunday!
Much, Much Love!
Pastor Chris

NHC Fellowship & Activity: Those in skilled-nursing centers are arguably some of the most neglected people in our society. Many in these facilities rarely, if ever, receive visitors. The hope of this project is to send a reminder to the residents of the facility, in which we are serving, that they are not alone. This kid-friendly project will consist of loving on the staff and residents through words of encouragement, quality time and hot chocolate! This project is a great way to serve those who are always in need of a little extra love! TODAY, Friday, March 13th, 10am-12pm. Meet at: NHC Skilled Nursing Facility, 2230 Ashley Crossing Dr, Charleston, SC 29414.
2nd Saturday Meal: Saturday, March 14th, 9am-11am. Come serve with us as we prepare a hot meal in the Coastal kitchen and then deliver those meals to one of our awesome ministry partners – organizations like Charleston Vets, S.C. Strong, Brighton Place, Joseph Floyd Manor and more!

Kid Friendly Blessing Bag Packing Party: Equipping the future of our church, we will be hosting a Kid-Friendly Clothing Night! This project is designed to get our youngest members involved and understanding what our amazing clothing ministry really does for the people of Charleston. Ronald McDonald House Meals that Heal – Breakfast: Ronald McDonald House provides a “Home-away-from-home” where families stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment. The Meals that Heal program provides a much-needed support service to families taking care of their sick children, who often don’t have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal. Ages 16+. Saturday, March 21st, 7:30am-9:15am. Meet at: 81 Gadsden St, Chas (Downtown Charleston).
Water Missions Walk for LIFE: We’re building a team to participate in the annual Walk for Water event in North Charleston. There is a $25 -registration fee for the walk that goes directly to Water Mission’s efforts to help people around the world to have access to clean drinking water. - The most important way we can prepare ourselves and our church for Easter is prayer. We will be hosting a Prayer Walk at Coastal on Wednesday, April 1st, at 6:30pm. Come by yourself, with friends & family, your LIFE Group, and walk our campus, stopping to pray at different stations for all God is going to do in and through our church. It will be a powerful experience! Sign up online today and let us know you’re coming.
We’re also hosting a 24-hour Prayer Vigil from Thursday, April 2nd, beginning at 7pm, until Friday, April 3rd, at 7pm, right before our first of 7 Easter Services. Simply choose the 15 minute time slot(s) you’d like to pray and sign up! At your designated time, wherever you might be, simply pray. Pray for God to bless the Easter Weekend services, for the Holy Spirit to be with Pastor Chris and his message, for the people you and our church will be inviting to attend, for our First Time Guests and those hearing the message of salvation for the first time, for Coastal Kidz Staff and Volunteers, for our Life Team Leaders and Volunteers, for our Worship & Tech Teams, for churches all over the world, for our country, our national, state, and local leaders, and for your family, your home, and for those in your spheres of influence. Go to our Sign-Up Genius Link, and pick a slot today! - Attention Young Adults! We’re having a Coastal Young Adults Camping Trip Friday, March 20th – Saturday, March 21st at James island County Park. The cost is $20 to cover food and the camping site reservations. If you’d like to sign up or have any questions, email Dane Clark at youngadults@coastalcommunitychurch.org.
P.S. DON’T FORGET – we offer our Coastal Members and regular attendees free access to RightNow Media, an online Christian Video Library. All the content can be accessed from any computer or smart television and through the RightNow Media app on a phone, tablet, Roku, Apple TV, etc. If you haven’t already done so, click here to set up your account!
