Well, it’s hard to believe but Easter Sunday is 23 days away (21 days until the first of our 7 Easter Services over 3 days)! That means it’s time – time to start making those phone calls, sending those texts, extending those invitations! Go to Easter at Coastal and download our shareable graphics to use on Social Media. And while you’re there, please don’t forget to let us know which service you plan on attending by reserving your spot! It simply lets us know when a service is reaching capacity. We really want to encourage our people (YOU) to attend services on Friday, Saturday, or 8:30am or 1pm on Sunday to make more room on Sunday at 10am & 11:30am. More than likely, those services will be PACKED!
But most importantly, as we always say, come to the service that you can get your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to come to. If that’s 10am on Easter Sunday, bring them, but come early to get a seat. And if you’re serving, come to the service that best suits your serving schedule. Here are the Easter service times: Friday, April 18th, 7pm; Saturday, April 19th, 4:30pm, 6pm; Sunday, April 20th, 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am, 1pm.
Speaking of serving, please talk to your Ministry Leaders now and VOLUNTEER FOR MULTIPLE SERVICES! 7 services means that it’s “All Hands On Deck.” We need everyone! If you’re not serving on Sunday morning yet, Easter is a great time to start. Sign up to volunteer on your Connect Card this Sunday, and we’ll get you plugged in. It will be one of the most worthwhile things you do, being used by God to be a link in the chain of people taking next steps and coming to know Jesus! If you’re not sure where to volunteer, 1st Impressions or Coastal Kidz is a great place to start.

- UPCOMING OUTREACH PROJECTS:
Lowcountry Orphan Relief: Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides support services and aid to meet the needs of Lowcountry children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Coastal will be serving there, TODAY, Friday March 28th, 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 1850 Truxton Ave in North Charleston.
Downtown Charleston “Hotdog Ministry”: We will be grilling and serving hotdogs to the homeless and hungry downtown! TODAY, Friday, March 28, 4-6:30pm. Meet at Coastal.
Food Pantry Sort & Stock: Coastal feeds an enormous amount of people. Come to the church and help keep our Food Pantry organized (and have a lot of fun while you’re at it)! Thursday, April 3rd, 11:30am-1pm.
Coffee & Doughnuts with the Vets at Patriot Villas: Friday, April 4th, 8:30am-11:30am. Meet at Coastal.
Clothing Team: Our Coastal Clothing Team will be organizing and sorting clothes, Friday, April 4th; Monday, April 7th 9:30am-11:30am. Meet at 2952 Old Pond Road on Johns Island.
Saturday Serve: The foundation of all of our serving opportunities at Coastal really starts with Saturday Serve – the first Saturday of every month. The next Saturday Serve is Saturday, April 5th. We meet in the Auditorium at 8:30am, Project Leaders make a “pitch” for their serving opportunity, and then we go out and serve!
Soldier’s Angels: We’ll be helping with the Veteran’s Mobile Food Distribution, Tuesday, April 8th, 8am-12:30pm. Meet at 1113 Sam Rittenburg Blvd. (The Elks Lodge).

We’re looking for more assistants and leaders to serve during the 11:30am service. Come volunteer with us to experience how rewarding it is to watch kids grow in their relationship with Jesus! Most volunteers serve in one service, twice a month. No prior experience is required to volunteer. The staff in Coastal Kidz will always be available for support with whatever you may need in the classroom! - If you’re fairly new to Coastal, a great next step is our Newcomers Reception. This is a great way to learn more about Coastal, meet staff and key volunteers, as well as meet some other new people. Pizza and childcare provided. Our next Newcomers Reception is Sunday, April 6th, in our Chapel immediately following the 11:30am service (at approximately 12:45pm).
