I just wanted to reach out and wish you and your family a Happy New Year! For those of you who have had some time off from work this week, I hope you’ve been able to rest, refresh and enjoy spending time with family.  This is a great time of the year to reflect on 2025 and dream about 2026.

In fact, that’s exactly what I’ll be doing this Sunday with my annual “Year In Review/Year Ahead” message.  It gives us a moment to reflect on the past, to celebrate the past, but then to turn the page, to close that chapter and to move forward in faith.  Our natural tendency, is to dwell in the past, to live in the past, to get stuck in the past.  And all that does is keep us from experiencing all that God has in store for us today and where He is leading us tomorrow!  Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Don’t forget that we are back to our normal service times this Sunday:  3 services – 8:30am, 10am, and 11:30am.  And seriously, don’t miss this Sunday!  It’s one of my favorite messages of the year and gives me a chance to cast some vision for the new year! I love you Coastal!  I love being your Pastor!  And I love marching forward into the new year with you!

Happy New Year!
Pastor Chris

P.S. We are “un-decorating” our campus on Tuesday, January 6th and could use your help!  That’s right, Tuesday, January 6th, at 9am, we’ll be taking down all of the Christmas trees and decorations and packing them away.  If you are available, please come over and lend a hand.
