Part 2:

Dear Coastal Friends & Family,

#1 – Due to the latest projections and quite honestly, the unpredictable nature of this storm, we have decided to go ahead and cancel all services for this Sunday, September 16th. However, while there will be no services this Sunday at our facility, I will be posting a message online for you to watch or listen to! Be on the lookout for it on our website and on social media.

#2 – With the uncertainty of both the weekend and early next week, we’ve also decided to postpone the launch of ALL LIFE Groups ONE WEEK. In other words, all LIFE Groups will begin the week of September 23rd.

#3 – We obviously still don’t know what this storm will do and what the aftermath will be, but right now we are still planning for our Big Day & Kick-Off of “Losing My Religion” for NEXT Sunday, September 23rd. We will have 3 services – 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am. We are asking you to bring: supplies for Habitat for Humanity, food for our Food Bank, toys for Operation Christmas Child, sign up to give blood through the Red Cross and sign up to volunteer at Oakland Elementary School. Again, this is the BEST time to make an IMPACT in our community and put our faith into action! If you are a volunteer and you are able, please connect with your Ministry Leader and plan to serve for one of our 3 services NEXT WEEK, September 23rd.

Coastal, please continue to pray! Pray for everyone who will be affected by this storm. Pray for those who will be serving/responding during and after the storm. God is still in control. Make sure you take some time to give God thanks today. If you’re frustrated or angry, pour out your heart to Him. Remember, His love for you is big enough – big enough to even handle your frustration, anger, and pain. Take some time today to help a neighbor. Smile, laugh, hug your children. Remember Coastal, we don’t just go to church – we what? WE ARE THE CHURCH! So let’s be the church, today and everyday, where we live, where we work, and where we play. Let the light of Christ shine through us, in our actions and in our attitudes.

Well, I can’t wait hear to all your stories, HUG ALL YOUR NECKS, and hopefully see you and all your friends next Sunday, September 23rd! It’s going to be quite the party! I can’t wait! I love you Coastal! And I love what we get to do together!
