Okay – it’s actually Sunday night and I’m posting on my blog!  Just a few very random thoughts about today (and a few from the weekend):

• It really was an amazing kick-off to our “That’s What HE Said” series!  We had 380 people in attendance!  I’m going to check but I think it was our 2nd largest attendance ever and our highest non-Easter attendance.  I really think we can break 400 soon!
• We had tons of 1st & 2nd time guests!  Our people did a great job of inviting their friends!  I’m so proud of you!  I talked to so many new people today.  Don’t give up on inviting.  Sometimes is takes multiple asks.
• I really think today’s momentum was stronger than Easter in some ways.  It was a “big” day just because we said it was and we were kicking off a series.  People came because they were invited, not because it was the “thing” to do.
• A lot of people came that I invited!  It was great seeing them!
• I LOVE our new t-shirt!  People love free t-shirts and free stuff.
• Our Band rocked out the opening cover song!  Love, love, love our band!  The video was awesome too!
• I’m ready for Clemson to play a “real” school.  This is getting embarrassing.  Although I might take that back after next week.  And yes, the Gamecocks look like the real deal.
• Kimmie takes awesome pictures!
• 1st Impressions did a great job today!
• Need to make our security team more “official.”  Had a “drunk guy” stumble in this morning.  By the way, drunk guys (and gals) are always welcome at Coastal.  Not a better place for them to be, however, they just need a little extra immediate assistance.
• One of our air conditioners went down in the first service.  With the lights and candles, I was sweating up a storm!  Very thankful for C.W. & Greg!  They got it up and running before the 2nd service.
• People love food!  Served wings, pizza, and cake before the 3rd service.  It makes people hang out longer after the service is over as well.
• And yes, I loved preaching about SEX today!  I really believe that this is going to be an awesome series!
• Had several people talk to me today about serving!
• I think the ACC is ready for college basketball.  What happened to those Hokies, Sean & Melissa?
• Grilled wings yesterday for me and Christopher to watch college football.  Forgot the difference between packaged, pre-flavored, heat in the oven wings and real, grilled, do it yourself wings.  No comparison.
• Wonder how many conversations about sex were started today?  Wonder how many husbands and wives had sex today?  You’re welcome!
• Didn’t have a huge turnout for FUEL on Saturday, but really loved covering our service, series, and ministry in prayer!
• Have two of my best friends in Ministry coming in to town this week to go to NewSpring’s one day leadership conference.  Can’t wait to be together.  Might be the first time we’ve all been together since college.  We will get into trouble!
• Wondering which one of our many pregnant ladies is giving birth first?  Any guesses?  Still think it would be cool if their water broke in church!

Well that’s about it.  Need to make major progress on my message tomorrow and Tuesday.  If you are single or know any single adults, don’t miss this Sunday.  We’ll be talking about sex and the single life.  And don’t worry, married adults, there will be plenty for you too.
